David Mumford is a Chartered Civil Engineer with over 15 years’ design and consultancy experience. As Technical Director and Practice Lead for OTB’s Ground Engineering team, he provides technical leadership, strategic direction, and hands-on expertise in developing practical and creative geotechnical solutions.

David has worked across a variety of sectors in the UK and internationally. His principal experience includes:

• Deep and shallow foundations
• Gravity and embedded retaining wall design, including deep basements
• Tunnelling and underground structures
• Slope stability and ground movement analysis
• Geotechnical temporary works
