Shane Gwilt is a Business Development specialist in utility detection at Hexagon, leading the introduction of advanced detection and mapping solutions across the UK. With over 30 years of experience as a land and underground utility surveyor, he brings extensive expertise in utility mapping and surveying. Shane supports customers and internal teams through training, technical guidance, and strategic insight, helping organisations integrate utility detection hardware and software into their workflows. A member of the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (CICES), Shane sits on the Utilities and Subsurface Mapping Panel, promoting industry awareness and best practice in utility surveying and mapping standards. He also contributed to the British Standards steering group for the revision of PAS 128:2022.
