Dr Yitan Lu is a Senior Principal Engineer at Mott MacDonald in the UK, with over a decade of experience delivering complex civil and underground infrastructure projects internationally. He holds a PhD in Geotechnical Engineering from the National University of Singapore and is a Chartered Infrastructure Engineer with the Institution of Engineers, Singapore, a Registered APEC Engineer (Geotechnical), and a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP). Dr Lu serves as the Digital Lead within Mott MacDonald's Foundations & Geotechnics (FNG) Department. In this role, Dr Lu leads digital and data driven initiatives, including the application of AI in ground engineering and organisational learning. Dr Lu also drives the adoption of innovative digital technologies across projects and leads digital transformation efforts within a department of over 100 ground engineering professionals.
